Vitamin D drug interaction information

• Phenobarbital, Cholestyramine (Questran), orlistat (Xenical), colestipol (Colestid), phenytoin (Dilantin), and mineral oil may interfere with vitamin D absorption and metabolism. You may need to increase your vitamin D intake if you take any of these drugs.

• Talk to your doctor before taking this vitamin D supplement if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have kidney problems, or are taking any medications, including those for heart conditions, seizures, bone health, or cholesterol.
